About Georgette Semedo

Founder & Owner | Joli Bijou Hair Salon

Georgette Semedo is the founder and owner of San Francisco’s trendy hair salon, Jolie Bijou and brings over two decades of industry experience and knowledge. With the encouragement and financial support of a close friend, Georgette pursued beauty school and jump started her career in hair. Georgette holds specialty certifications in Japanese Straightening Liscio Milbon and Brazilian Blowouts and specializes in transforming damaged, dull hair into a head of shiny, healthy hair.

Vanessa Taylor

Hair Colorist | Joli Bijou Hair Salon

Vanessa has over two decades of salon and hair coloring experience, currently enhancing the looks of her clients as a hair colorist at Jolie Bijou Hair Salon. She infuses her passion for art, fashion and style icons into her work, and loves to help her clients feel great with an on-trend look and feel to their hair.

Vanessa began her career as an assistant color director at the top creative salon, Architects and Heroes, honing her craft of developing contemporary techniques and color, specializing in balayage, sombre, ombré, and babylights. She is also Keratin Certified with Peter Coppola for original and express keratin treatments, giving clients’ hair a subtle shine and long-lasting color. Vanessa has worked as a colorist in a variety of settings outside of the salon, including movie sets, fashion shows, and museum events.
